Position BEHAVIOR CONSULTANT
Duties  Duties to include but not limited to the following: Assess individual clients initially to develop program plans in relation to the child’s deficits/excesses. Monitor ongoing behavior intervention plans for effectiveness and their relations to lesson plans.Coordinate with families, program activities as they pertain to program goals, behavioral objectives and transitional goals.  Review each child's program for integrity and progression with constant measurement of the functions of skills acquired by each child. Develop and write intervention plans to address deficits in self-help, communication, socialization and play skills and behavioral excesses. Develop exit plan aimed at maintaining each child's acquired skills in a less restrictive environment.  Coordinate with tutor staff modifications of existing programs based on data analysis of student progress.  Advise and train tutor staff and families in the implementation of individual behavior plans as needed. Troubleshoot special problems in program implementation and expand programs for generalization and maintenance.  Carry out other behavior intervention services within classrooms, care homes, and private homes as assigned.  Organize, coordinate and direct the tutor(s) involved in a child's program including scheduling regular team meetings. Provide training of tutors, parents, and other caretakers. Attend IEPs pertaining to transitions when needed. Attend IEPs pertaining to transitions when needed. Participate in monthly ASD department meetings. Conduct performance reviews on ABC Tutors and Lead Tutors.

Requirements  

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Special Education, with emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis AND  5 years progressive experience in providing behavioral services for children or individuals with behavior disorders; OR Master's degree in Psychology or Special Education, with emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis AND 2-years experience in behavioral services for children or individuals with behavior disorders. Must have minimum 12  units of Applied Behavior Analysis courses completed. Must pass criminal background check.
